Off To Freya’s Temple With You!

Here's a little information about the new Episode which includes Rachel City.

The holy words of the goddess Freya brought great changes to the lives of the indigenous people living in Rachel: they swore to honor and adore her, creating an immense temple as her house of worship in their small, simple oasis village. The faith and fervor of Freya’s followers in Rachel proved to be infectious, and the entire nation of Arunafeltz eventually converted to this new faith. Religion became central and foremost in the hearts and minds of the people, naturally merging with Arunafeltz culture and government, and Rachel developed into a major, influential city.

Some New Quests:
Get a chance to have random unique item rewards if you donate zeny to Freya’s Temple for lottery tickets.

Find the Sincere Follower, Ustialla. Talk to her and agree to help her. She will give you the Ashy Necklace and discover the mystery behind it. Completing this quest will enable Ktullanox (MVP) to be summoned and fought by the player.

For this quest to be available, 500 million zeny must be donated to the temple per server and must have also completed “The Wicked Delivery Quest”. Talk to Nemma. She'll mention how the automatic security has her locked out. Help her rescue her sister trapped inside. Completing this will enable access to Rachel’s Holy Sanctuary (Dungeon).

New Vs. Old Head Gears

With the server newly updated a bunch of gravity customs had been released onto the server. Monsters, Maps, plus many items including a bunch of new head gears. You can buy these head gears now on the AnthemRO donation item shop here, or try to buy them in game from someone that doesn't want theirs anymore. Right now you can not get these items from any quest or as a monster drop. If you would like to see how your character might look like before you buy these certain head gears you might wanna try to visit Rate My Server or Rune Nifelheim character simulators.

When Does Spore Attack Your Computer?

If you have the new game Spore already you might know exactly what I'm talking about. Spore has a new definition to evolution and how might the future or past be seen through a interactive game.

As most known, the life on this planet was started through single cell organisms. This game shows us an interactive part of survival of this cell. Eating and just trying not to become prey is the name of the game at this stage.

The second stage which is the creature stage, You get to create a very unique Creature compared to anybody else. Of course if your not a creative person and can't seem to build a monster that you might like, you can always look through the collection of already made creatures or do a search for one you might not already have on your computer.

For the next stage you start entering the Risk/Civilization part of the game play. As in the Tribal stage you will in counter passive or aggressive creatures. While also surrounded by wild creatures. You can impress others or rage war on the whole area!

The Next stage which is where you get your own Civilization is like a more in depth version of the Tribal stage. You have a much bigger designing pallet in front of you to build different type of buildings or vicheals. Be prepared to go trade and kiss ass to get further in this stage of the game. "My nabor is not my friend! >.>"

I find that the last stage which is the Space stage to be so big I'm going to need another post to talk about it. Here is what the future might become as the planet earth might explore, trade, and have war with other civilizations on other planets. The possibilities are almost endless in this stage and will take lots of time to discover most of it.

What Big Scheduled Maintenance

If you were like me this morning you have just seen the announcement about the regular AnthemRO server going under some major updates. In fact the server will be down most likely for 2-8 hours. I’m guessing, But there is that little percent that the server might be down for longer then that.

There are some rumors on why it’s being shut down for such a big update. The first rumor I heard is that there are a bunch of custom items are going to be added. Another was new area’s are going to be implemented, like the Veins City and the Ice Dungeon. Then finally the biggest rumor is that the new episode was going to be fully released into the regular server and taken out of the beta mode.

Well…. You are all right. The new episode is being released and brought fully into the regular server for everyone to play on. New maps and monsters come alone with this. Full guilds can now try to take on the new Earth Quaking Ifret. Now about the new items that’s another story in it’s own. All the items that come with the new episode and some custom items are being added. Some you can only get through events.

About the customs, for anyone that took part in the testing of the beta server and got coin, you will be able to get special items from an NPC that are down right unbelievable. I’m not sure on the amount of coins it will take to buy something or what items you’ll get to buy right just yet. Also not sure where this NPC is going to be located yet either. All I can say you will LOVE the items you’ll get!

Expect lots of bugs in the up coming week and also a bunch of reboots to fix priority 1 problems. Just hang in there by the end of this month we will have a fully working 11.3 Server. Yay!!!

AnthemCleaner vs. New Server Update

This past few weeks that I haven't been posting a few changes have been happening to AnthemRO which is going to place the server in the category of top Ragnarok Servers again! New Gm's have been chosen and been doing their work very well. They seem to know what they are doing and how to make our community better, in more ways then just one.

Some of the changes that have been taking place is the test server that is holding our new updated episode is getting ready to be released as our regular server. Which means we can have the new cards, MPV's, and dungeons that most other eAthena servers already have.The big differences is we are a stable aegis server and our GM's rock. Dedication goes a long way in the eyes of the playing community.

A new program has also been released by the new GM Heimdall, which is a AnthemRO Cleaner. This program is to ONLY BE USED IF YOUR ANTHEMRO GAME IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY! When you use this program it will make sure all your files that make AnthemRO work are there and that all bad files that might keep Anthem are removed. Note, if you have any custom items, arura's, BGM, or anything else that does not come normally with the original Anthem installer can be removed or will stop working after you run this program. You might want to back up any custom files before running the cleaner. You can find this Anthem Cleaner here if your looking to fix your aRO game. Here is another link if the first one does not work for you.

The Attack of the PS Contests

For some reason contest have been popping up everywhere for art goers. I have done the AruaRose, exstreme house, and clown animal this week. AruaRose contest was a logo compatition. I did not win but no big deal I felt I made a very good effert and I believe I was original in all my logos. Here they are below.

Another contest is the exstreme home and the animal clown. I don't have the winner yet, but I should know by the end of the week.

Randy Pausch Last Lecture

Before tonight I have never heard of this man Randy Pausch. Now only 2 hours later from first hearing his name he is a mentor to me in every way. This man was someone I would like to base my life on. He did things that others couldn't or wouldn't. He was a husband, a father, and a professor. He has recently died from a having a tumors in his liver. I have his last lecture he ever gave after he was diagnosed. It's called Childhood dreams and I encourage all to watch this video since I believe anyone call learn from this man in some way.

Because of this video I have given serious thought about my childhood dreams. I have forgotten them but as they slowly came back, and I realized were my life has been over all running. I would encourage anybody to write down 3-5 childhood dreams they had as a child and really think how everything is going in their life.

Tutorials meet Competition.

I've been sitting at my computer this week writing up some PhotoShop tutorials. These are my first tutorials ever done and I really believe they came out well. They are short and sweet but, readers will learn a thing or two. The first one is about an eye popping text technique. It's almost making your text look 3D. You can see an image of the final product below. Also you can view this tutorial on the aRO forums or Esthemuse Website.

The other tutorial is on a easy way to add stripes to your text. Seems readers aren't biting this one so much. I'm guessing for the next one I'm going to have to try to write something harder. Also you can view this tutorial on the aRO forums or Esthemuse Website.

Theres is one other news all to do with a logo contest. I use to play on this server called AruaROSE Online. It was a very neat game since it's was made from the same people who is doing Ragnarok, you know Gravity. Well anyways there contest is too make them a new logo for their server. The big news about this is they are giving away $250 dollars to the winner. There are some amazing entries and some not so amazing you can view the contest page here and you can see the entries here. I haven't enters mine yet so you wont see them but, I will post them here are y'all to see too. I know it's short notice since the contest ends Friday but I would love to see others enter this contest too.

PCBot and Ragnarok 1-3 Classes

I'm sorry I've got late news about the PCBot. A new feature is being added to the PCBot site where players will be allowed to view the basic information of the items they are searching for. Here's a little preview that might make you think someones working hard behind a desk. ^^

Another news that I'm so too late on is that Gravity has released their 1-3 classes sketches. Lots of players are mixed if they like'em or hate'em. There where a few points this week that made this week a really interesting one. New updates all around have moved me into a busy week of fun and learning, and of course excitement.

New server excitement started out with yesterday. The Gm's posted about hiring new low GM's. We are not sure how many but the fact is they you can submit your application up to Aug 1st. Some players are talking about how they wouldn't dare become a GM with the pressure the community puts on them. Others are more on the side of I would love to become a GM sign me up. There a few candidates that are really promising in my eye and there are other that I think their only joining to get the fame that comes with title of being a GM. I won't mention any name but I'm giving them a glare now and they don't know it. If you are interested in applying you can visit the main forum post here, (http://www.anthemro.com/forums/index.php/topic,36872.0.html) but please remember to read the full first 2 post. I hear from a little birdy that the application that have been sent in so far that more then 3/4 of the application were done wrong.

On another server site this weeks been City of Heroes 2x exp. I've been glued to this game for the past 3 days. @.@ I think I'm starting to see NPC bad guys in my sleep. (In my whole 3 hours a night sleep. ^^) I just started this game about a month ago and I do not have a lvl 50 player yet so I'm working on my first. Right now she's lvl 34 and I'm hoping to get here to lvl 50 in about less then another moth. woot!

BIG NEWS!!!!
EA Games has released it's first official trailer of the SIM 3 game. It look more then amazing. If you were ever a Sims 1 or 2 fan you would find out that the video gives hits on how much better it is in then the first Sims games. I was wondering on what was every one's most loved feature that's coming in the new game. I would have to say for me it's the house designing features. I loved just making houses in the Sims 2 and I look forward to seeing the furniture designing tools and the new features the house building. Now for the amazing feature that I think that is going to be in the game that would make me just say wow, would have to be the.... Shadows and the many different traits of all the characters can have. My let down so far is that we are still not sure if there is going to be weather or the fact that they are removing the needs bars and replacing them with something different. I'm not sure about this so far but once I see the area I'm sure I feel differently about it.

I have realized I haven't posted a blog for sometime now, and I wanted to make it up to y'all. Sorry, but I have been on vacation and a creative break... I think everyone needs a break once in a while.

I do have a few new topics to talk about and show you. The first one is wishing everyone in America Happy 4th July! Hope everyone is having fun with family and FIREWORKS.

Second, there is a topic about a new art contest on the AnthemRO forums. This one is remaking one of your favorite comic book character as a RO class. The contest did end sometime last month, but the hoster extended it to the end of this month. I have already finished my entree but I will not be posting up on the forums until a week before the contest ends. I'm going to show you a small piece of it just to keep y'all on the edge of your chair. XDD

Another thing is that it looks like I'm going to be the web master to a very nice team of RO GM's. This server is still in build mode as of right now. Heck I'm sitting here right now building it. lol
I will give you an update to when the server gets moving a little bit more.

Pokemon Again...

So one of the artist on the AnthemRO forums drew a very nice picture of a priest mixed with the Pokemon Flaaffy. The only problem I saw is that it wasn't colored. Well I asked her If I could color it for practice and she agreed.

Historical Person Contest Winners!

After sweating over this decision for the past several days, I have finally decided that the winner is Akishira. There are aspects of the other two top competitors that I thought were done a little better than Aki's (namely the incorporation of the text), but the overall colors, and character design I feel are best in Aki's.

I was just going to have one runner up, but I seriously can't decide between these two, so I will present two winners here: Wang and HornGoddess.

I was actually torn between both Einstein entries for this one, but I think I'm going to have to give it to Lunagata since her entry was a complete original, while ApPLe's was just an edit of one of her pre-existing works. Also, see below for the other reason.

Considering there really was only one humorous entry (and it does indeed make me laugh every time I look at it), ApPLe's, then the award goes to her for this one.

So it turns out I tied for second. I'm very grateful since I thought I was so going to lose to Wang. I really like that art style I wish I know how to do something like that.

What Pokemon Are You?

The AnthemRO art section has made new contest that really isn't a contest, but a art project everyone can join in on. The topic is making your own Ragnarok character as your favorite Pokemon. So far not many people have entered in anything, but some have came out with their ideas. They are all sounding great.

Now to the point I've made mine and so far not too many people saying anything about it. That kinda makes me nervous, but what can you do. I'm not an active spammer in the art forums and I don't have a thread to display or for others to ask for their own artwork to be done. I guess I just feel mostly left out of the loop. The only thing I guess I can do is keep entering into the contest and see if I get more accepted.

Ok..ok So the image I did was of the Pokemon Persian done as a Assassin Cross. Yea, I know I don't have an Assassin Cross but I don't think anyone else will mind too much.

Sorry about the lack of updates recently. I was trying to get some other technical issues taken care of, and wasn't updating this thread correctly. Here's whats been done since the last update.

New version of the client (1.0.1.2). It should get sent out to everybody if you run AnthemPatch.exe
Another patch should also fix the music for Veins and the surrounding areas.
All of Rachel Sanctuary should now be populated with mobs, including Gloom Under Night. Their drop tables are still incomplete.

4/22/08
All Veins field maps are now populated with the correct monsters, including the new Magmaring outside of Thor Volcano.
Galions are now aggressive.

4/29/08
All Thor Volcano mobs have been added besides Ifrit with incomplete drop tables. The attack speed for a lot of the monsters seems to be incorrect.

Ultimate Ragnarok Calculator Grand Opening!

This weekend was the grand opening of Rm2kdev's ultimate Ragnarok calculator program and website. So far it's a big success. Some bugs but what can you expect from a new program. I'm glad to report the website is working great without any hiccups. You can download the program and view the finished website project here.

Well, also this week has been a busy week. Not so much graphics or Ragnarok but in real life. I have been learning how to speak Mandarin Chinese. I'm very much in love with this language. On another note about that I wanna ask if anyone that knows mandarin Chinese will be willing to become my pin pal buddy or a good friend to help me out with this language. ^^

I do have bad news about a long waited project. A-Stat is shut down and will not be returning for some time. Some issues came up that could not be prevented. Just maybe one day the A-Stat project will be back up in months to come.

Layout Version 2.0

So the previous layout that was made for the Ultimate Ragnarok Calculator need some tweaks done to it before release. So long story short I redid the whole layout into another theme. The person I was making the layout for is a dear friend of mine that is a very good and experienced programmer. You'll hear me refer to him a bunch as Rm2kdev. Well anyways I'm making this layout for him so he can have a website to show off his Calc.

The main images is not the only thing that changed, but also a color change. If you look you will also be able to see the new images on the side, that also change as you refresh. The images are from private and official servers all over the Ragnarok world.

Ultimate Ragnarok Calculator

For a few days now a friend of mine has been making up the Ultimate Ragnarok Calculator. It will have everything that can be calculated in Ragnarok into a download able program for everyone to use. It will also be able to be used for the official and privates servers all over. Well, my friend has asked me to design him a simple website that he could work with for this program. The site design image is located below.

That calculator should be released by the end of the week. I will keep you updated and give you the link of the new website once I find out what it is. =p

Added Galion, fixed Atroce slave spawns. Wolfheiden is a Galion drop, but does not yet work correctly.
All mobs should spawn correctly on all Rachel field maps, with full drop tables that spawn all new items besides cards. Please go test them!
Warp Girl now has Veins, Thor's Volcano, Rachel Sanctuary (Temporarily), and Ice Dungeon.
City NPCs were added to Veins.

New version of the new client released, along with some icon fixes. Running AnthemPatch.exe should now automatically update your new client to the newest version.
All new mobs for Ice Dungeon have been created and placed. Freezing Bow is not yet implemented, nor are any cards. Ktullanux does not spawn because the quest to spawn him is not yet complete

Yuber is keeping us up to date very well on this beta project. Here are some updates that are very important.

4/2/08
Skeggiolds are back and need to be tested to see if they still cause problems with the zone server.
Star Gladiator heat should not longer be able to be stacked. I'd like some experienced Star Gladiator players to check it out to make sure of exactly how the new form of heat works.
Finally, ra_fild12, ra_fild08, and the warps connecting them to each other and ra_fild12 to rachel are implemented, including a couple of new mob types. The mob types have incomplete drop tables.

What a pain! Big News!

Well it is official I am sick. These past two weeks haven't been going to plain at all and now I'm sick. /sob
A-Stat has been postponed for a long time now since we are waiting for something from someone, but now it looks like it going to be postponed for a couple more weeks. Which in one word comes down to this SUCKS!

On the other hand Anthem has made some amazing differences to the server. For starters this week has been 2x exp week. So when you kill you get twice the exp then on a normal day. Second they participated in April Fools. Which gave more people a laugh other claim they saw it coming. My gullable self fell for it.^_^ You can check out the thread here.

Also in recent news a new server client type has been given to players that will display chat logs that can become custom to your needs. Myself loves the WoE chat option. Where I can decided if I want it in my chat area or not. Others seem to like the item pick up option. Where if you pick up an item it would display all the item you recently picked up. Seems Black Smiths love this feature the most in niff. Their are much more different option but you will have to download the new client and update your Anthem patcher before you can use it.

Now to the biggest news of the week. Anthem is FINALLY coming out with Ragnarok episode 11.0 which is Rachael's Sanctuary. It's only in beta mode, so it's mostly just being tested right now. Players are allowed to view and submit bugs. If you play in the test server you can log in with your same account that's with the regular server. But anything you do on the test server does not carry over the regular server.

Here are some bugs that the server and the new client are having, just in case you know before you install the new updates.
1. Rachel server is not done and many new maps and warps either do not work or just not their yet.
2. Side NPC are not loaded yet in the Rachael city.
3. Every time you log out a character and log back in your skills in the f12 bar will disappear.
4. You MUST have the most resent updated version of Sakray to play the new server or you will get GRF errors.
5. Since it's a test server not many players play on the new server.(If you do start playing the new server, remember that your characters, money, or items to not transfer over to your regular account.)

loads of templates for A-Stat

All this week has been A-Stat this, A-Stat that. I've gotten most of the site up and fully working. Now while I'm waiting for the most updated version of A-Stat to be made I'm making the mountain loads of templates players can choose from to use besides asking for a custom one. I'll show you a couple that have already been made. They don't have the code with them yet, but you are able to get an idea of what to look forward too.

Hopefully I get more done before the release of Version 1.0 A-Stat.

Another Eventful Week.

This week everything decided to brake down.=_=! My internet, the PCBot, and A-Stat decided not to play fair. So, this week I have spent much time on fixing everything. Right now everything is fixed and running great.

My Internet just decided to go out every 30mins. >.> It's such a pain. Well got that working and the Ragnarok on my other computer. So now I have a 24/7 Selling account. You can visit my selling page here.

Also, The PCBot also wanted to stop working all together. First the web page went out followed by the bot not able to log in. Well later today we got it working and a lot of folks are very happy.^^ I wanna quote the funniest thing I saw while the bot was down.

"Look out for a Lvl 99 baby novice named Prontera Pricecheck on different maps, if you see him, Please Kill him, maybe he will automatically go back to prontera."

This just cracked me up. Thanks for the post! He had the right idea in mind it's just you don't hear kill the novice much.

While all of this was going on A-Stat decided to have bugs. Class weren't showing up right and a up loader problem that wouldn't stop. But it seem tomorrow all those will be fixed and tomorrow will be the first day we do seclusive A-Stat testing.^^ I'm very excited. If all goes well the website and basic templates need to get done then the first release where everyone can use will be put out into the community! This past few weeks can be described as one word, "BUSY." Lots of new projects have emerged, and I wonder which ones will live through the elimination. Let me list for you the wonderful projects I have piling up.

First, I have been redoing the HornGoddess.com site. It's new name is Esthemuse, and it's a website devoted to my art projects. Also some tutorials and programs my fellow workers have. It will also have flash programs, like the Ragnarok character simulator and this new Ragnarok map display thing. I don't have a name for it yet. Second, We have a new program that is about to come out. It's for Ragnarok players that currently play on AnthemRO. When you start the program it will read certain information about your game play. For example, "online status, class, base & job level, and ping." I would show you an example down below but I'm afraid it wouldn't stay log for it would only be a test and would be deleted soon. But you can see the site. It is currently done and up online at http://www.horngoddess.com/a-stat/

The third project has been this server I have working on my pc. My pc from ages ago had no use until about a month ago. Now it's a fully working server that will end up running my sites and also a good ragnarok server.

The Ragnarok server is another bit of a project I'm on right now. I have installed two windows sql Ragnarok servers and one Linux game server in the past 3 days. lol.
This server is going to be a duplicate of the Anthem Server. Just in eAthena. It's going to be so alike that you would be able to tell them apart very easily. I'm doing this for a fun project any ways they kinda need one if they ever want to upgrade the server in the future. Once I am done I'm going to give the full server to the AnthemRO owners. Then I'm going to edit the one on my computer to fit the standers of what I think a good server should be like. I'll show you screen shots later of it... well if I remember.^^

Dancing or Mating

I'm not sure if any of you are fans of the show "So you think you can dance," but I can tell you I'm not one of it's normal viewers. It's not that I dislike dancing, it's the oposite more in fact. I love watching people perform. I just never really liked the judges, so I never watched the show too much.

Okay to the point I was looking on YouTube about a month ago and I happen to find a video of one the dance performed for the show. I can't seem to get it out of my head. It was done just perfectly that it amazed me. you can decide what you think about it...

New Future

If nobody has looked for any future tech stuff lately, you should. It's going to be amazing by the 2020. Mirosoft is coming out with a new touch screen that will make dinning out fun and much more effecent and fun.

What I like the most of what I saw was the new Holographic projectors that is out. It looks like you can see images or movie sreens through this 360 degrees around area. I think it's going to be the next thing in movie theators.

I would love to see a war movie or a romance done almost like 3D max or theator version. Also that might mean if they go far enough with it we might be able to see somthing like that as a TV. Well that or the wall projector, Or even the computer wall projector that fits in your pocket. (Say good by to desktops and laptops.)

Well lots been happening. Meager has come with me to my house for two weeks and we have had a great time. Sorry but no new art work or site to be shown. I know I have been slacking. Thats like a month of no work. I think I have forgotten how to se my programs. XD Anyways The PCBot in Anthem are well on their way. We have had a few problems and needed to restart the bots more then we should. Plus, some players thiks it's funny to warp the bots. >.> (One good thing I have their names... /gg)

Good News:I'm getting a new car and I'm very happy.
Bad News: Need to get a job to pay for the car.

No big deal just means less time playing games and website making. I will still be here to give my input.^^

I'll talk later because Meager is leaving tomorrow. I wanna spend the rest of my time with him before he leaves.

Now it's time to take a breath, the AnthemRO loading contest finally ended. Also one of my loading screens has made it into the 20 slots of all around winners. There where some really good entries. Some I wanted in but did not make it in the end.

So as you can tell I'm having another sleepless night. Not too much a shocker.

A bunch of graphic art this week. Seems I've been running my Photoshop 24/7. Between the character simulator, loading screen contest, website layout, and RO2 logo contest. I have also been doing some light work on the side. Just like Maegers soon to be posted WoE rank chart. I gotta say I am getting tired of it. But I always do that, when I work on something so much that I get sick to death of the subject. Also that is one good point about me, that I can do lot of different stuff and I never really get bored.^^

One of the things I got done today was a logo contest entire. The logo was for the first private server for Ragnarok 2. Kethry gave me a ring asking me if I wanted to join. Lets just say the other entries went so great, and she didn't want to see them win just for the fact she would have to be staring at them all day.

New Loading Screens

So the AnthemRO loading screen contest is still in effect until next Wednesday, Also I had gotten an PM from a forum member wanting the two Alchemist loading screens I had made in the past contest. Of course I redid them and also made to other new ones. view them below.

- These two are the Alchemist ones I did for the last contest.

- I got the idea for this one looking through some tutorials and I came across a Sig breeze tutorial.

- I like the originality of this screen. Nobody else has done anything like this one yet. Also I get to use my new glass effect.^^

Good Week

Sorry I haven't posted my Internet had gone out. So of course couldn't post, but I did write a post then saved it for when I did have Internet back. So here is a late submission.

So unlike last week this week is going much better. The Shoppes department has found a layout that can be worked with and made into something that will please everyone. The color of the website still have me a little bit confused. I know if I pick a wrong color I wont stop hearing about it until I change it. *rolls eyes* I think it's gonna be a dark blue with white and black. I have gotten the layout ready for Rolan and Raspen. Well no matter The layout should be up and ready for update hopefully by the new year. (Watch me eat my word later.)^^

On a grand note the character simulator is coming together beautifully. I have the men's and womman's class and heads done. Along with the head hair changer. Right now I'm working on the head gears. This is so time tasking. I keep on trying to put it off, but I know I'll love it once it's done. It's just something that take lots of time to do something so simple. I got the background working but I dislike the page so I'm gonna do it over again. That shouldn't take me too long. It's the button rollover thing that still has me baffled. (So you can rollover a button and a form of text will show up on the other side of the page telling you info on the button.) For example your courser will go over the button for the novice class and at the top a form of text will pop up mostly saying, "Novice Class." This can come later thou.

I got some bug fixed like the male and female buttons were they will now show a head and a body. That kinda had to be done seance it was in the past you can click a head and there would be no body. (Sorta Freaky.) The other bug was the reset button. Just to say it didn't work, but now it's fixed and working perfectly.

Week Update - Bad News

This week has been a stressful week. Trying to get the new layout has gone down to a stand still. The layout was suppose to be done by today. =_= I have handed off the CSS part to someone else and they aren't getting it done. So it looks like once I get my character simulator done I'll be building the site on my own. I just don't have time and didn't have the artistic nerve to do it. I'll most likely start it some time in the next few weeks.

More bad news, AnthemRO has decided to start back up the loading screen contest. It could not come at a worse time. I'm to busy to make any new loading screens. For AnimaRO players you know that the server had the loading screen contest going and the day it ended the web host went down and never came back. So there was 3 months of flaming and name calling gone to waist. Members got so mean during this contest. Now to go through it again. Maeger had to talk me into posting my old ones again.

Here they are so far. I might put up more later in the weeks.

I'm not too happy for this one even thou it's on my desktop wallpaper. ^^

I like the color changes of this one and the grass was all made by me.

I put the most work into this one and one other one. The background was really a daylight photo that I changed and modified. Even the lights on the bridge were mine, and if you look there is the light reflection in the pond.

I had made this one for Maeger. He like simple, and I really like the idea of doing something like that. Then in this contest two other people redid my idea. I'm kinda sad about it. Do I get the credit for it? I don't mind I still like it.^^

This one was made for my good friend Kaze. Her favorite character is soul linkers. There weren't many soul linker loading screens posted either.

I really like this one. At first I didn't and I didn't post it in the last contest but then I got the chance to redo it and it came out great!

This my own drawing of a kafria in Payon city. Took me the longest to make but well worth it.

I got this idea off of some type of post card. It came out really nice and the colors rock.

This one seems to be every one's favorite. It has the game rules in the back if you can't read them.

More happened this week but I don't have time to write right now, but I can say it's the good news part that I'll be writing about later.^^

Worse Timing...

For almost 2 months I have been working on character simulator that is current and updated. It was going fairly well when I hit a few major problems in some coding that I can't figure how to design. I have looked up and down the Internet looking for something remotely similar to the problem I'm having. (Found Nothing... Shocker right?)I just started messing with flash about 4 months ago so don't think of me of being a great flash writer. At the same time I'm a fast learner.

Just about that time I started writing up my flash some other Ragnarok site presented to the public their version of the character simulator. Theirs is based in a Java Script coding. Let me list the pros and cons of this character simulator.

Pros:
1. Fully up to date. (Has recent classes and gears.)
2. Easy navigation. (You can find everything on one page very viewable for members.)
3. Selection of carts. (Has an option of different cart displayed.)
4. Background Selector. (You have other backgrounds that displayed instead of the blank background.)
5. Saving area. (You are able to save your characters very easily just by copying and pasting the URL at the bottom.)

Cons:
1. Loading time. (Loading time is very slow even on a fast Internet connection.)
2. Different body sprite positions. (There is no animation of the bodies or different posses that can occur.
3. Poor Layout. (The layout of the simulator area is very unappealing.)
4. Color Changer is broken. (They have a clothes color changer but, when used it changes your class to a gunslinger or just wont work for some classes no matter what class you choose.)

This one is well done over all and I'm jealous. hmmm... I'll get over it and make mine better. ^^ (Go Ego!) Well of course that's not just it. Today I find out there is another character simulator out again... Both of these simulators are in big name Ragnarok websites. Where visitors all over the world visit these site's everyday. This site has it's simulator designed in SPR and ACT files. Let me tell you a little about this new simulator with some pros and cons also.

Pros:
1. Fast loading. (self explanatory.)
2. Up to date. (Does have recent classes and head gear.)
3. Character changing. (Characters can rotate and have different position for their sprites.)
4. Reset. (Has a very nice reset button.)

Cons:
1. Layout is poor. (Need a better display system.)
2. Missing colors. (Does not have any color changing at all. For hair or clothes.)
3. Sprite miss placing. (Head gear and heads are not position correctly.)
4. Bugs. (This certain version has lot of bugs and need to be tended to.)
5. Browser. (You can only view this simulator in FireFox or Opera.)

There is not much else to say about these little set backs besides the fact that while writing this post I got the greatest idea on how to fix about half of my problem's in my character simulator. Hopefully I can get it working before the new year starts.

Can't Sleep

Here comes another sleepless night. They do come often. It seems I sleep better during the day then night, and it's very easy for me to switch my hours. One good thing is during this time I get look up random stuff that has happened during the day. (A.K.A - Random people forum chats.)

Let me see if there is something to talk about in the aRO forums tonight...

(Some time pass...)

ooo, found something worth talking about. As aRO players know the server just switched over and we got a new forum. That mean post counts start at zero... (What this means it brings out those spammers that want a high post count because it make them feel like high in mighty veteran players.) So to noobs they will look like gods. When in fact it's mostly word spamming. Now there are some posters that are worth to be heard and should be but, these people are being drown out by the others.

The new Gm's have made it that some parts of the forums wont count post, sense those part encourage spamming. I liked this new little change. There are a few problem in there system. Number one is that it seems they have missed a few sections that have a rather high post count and a bit of chat spamming. The area I'm talking about is the guild discussion/guild recruiting forum followed by the bumpping of the seller/buyers section. There are 2 post that people have made ranting about the mishap of increasing post counts in this chat spamming section.

Here's the first one...
I found parts of this forum funny. first we have the rant. (People are getting post counts for bumping.) Second we have the denial. (I don't do that... bump, bump, bump.) Third we have Gm's lack of participation followed by name calling. The big finish is one of the Gm's does look at the post and change it. ^^ Woot, go GM's. (Oh, btw I liked Ressy little rant at the end.)

Now there is another post that surfaced it's little head...
This one is surprisingly positive more then anything. As some forum readers might have noticed the cussing and negative comments have gotten a little out of hand. (But that's for another post. ^^) This one seems rather filled with meaningful people talking about the post count.

Now, I was thinking about it and it seems the only forum sections that you can post and get post count within them are a very few. 13 out of 22 sections exactly. These other forum topics are bots, KS, suggestions, general discussion, and even server updates and, of corse ect. It's kinda funny to see a big time spammer in the Off Topic area with a post count of 0. This member has posted over 1k post and still his count is at zero.
This is where the second problem comes up. I hope in the future of forum development this will occure where, you post in a thread it will count as one single post. So that if you even do bump or chat spam it will round off okay in the post count. So it will still say you made one post for a single thread. Now I know in some parts of the forum that will not help but, to have a setting like that on a few sections would he heavenly. The down fall is that people will make multi posts about the same topic. Either you can set rules to enforce no multi posting or let the posting count battle continue.

We are just gonna have to see what the Gm's do about this problem. Most likely I'll rant about it later in another post. sense I still have only 8 post. =_= But I have to say they are meaningful post and not yet spamming. lol

The Adventure of Ragnarok

As you will find out I am a big Ragnarok fan. I've been playing just over a year now I believe. I have to say I am very addicted to this game. AnthemRO is my current private server I'm working on with a few others in side folder.

Let me tell you a little about this game called Ragnarok. It was originally based off an anime that stared a few noob classes (A.K.A - 1st classes) They were brought together fighting monsters that have been taking over the world slowly. You see a bunch of different personalities come together to make a rather good anime.

Now the game goes off the anime very well. Sense the anime has ended the game still continues strong and still updating. Players all around the world get together in this game. They are fighting monsters, working together in guilds, and level training that will occupy you for hours.

Someone sent me a e-mail yesterday having a video of a costume play act inserted into it. It was posted on youtube and I will be showing it to you down below this paragraph. In this video you will see fellow players act out a rather funny scene of a group of classes trying to fight Baphomet. One of the hardest MVP to kill due to his Level 20 Lord of Vermillion.

I hope you will enjoy it. I rather had a good laugh about it. If you know the game and have played it you will understand a little bit more about it. I say thanks to emailer who sent me this video.
